Health & Wellbeing Apps are fast becoming the de facto mode in which we receive and input health information. This demand fuelled by work pressures of being mobile with very little down time.
In this exclusive interview that took place at the Royal College of Nurses Head Quarters, I had the chance to discuss with Michael Lawrence CEO and COO Jake Adams COO & Co Founder the ‘Wellspace’ App journey from concept to implementation, its target users and its unique enabling featuring to empower individuals to manager their health and wellbeing.
The location could not have been better as 2020 is the Year of the Nurse and Midwife. 2020 is Florence Nightingale’s bicentennial year, designated by World Health Organisation as the first ever global Year of the Nurse and Midwife. Nurses and midwives make up the largest numbers of the NHS workforce.
Wellspace is on a mission to reduce work-related stress, anxiety and wider health issues by using cutting edge, intelligent data to revolutionise health and wellbeing. The Wellspace B2B model works through a cleverly designed smartphone app, an online portal for usable health trends & insights, points & rewards for engagement, face to face behaviour change training, workshops and events over a 12-month subscription. Wellspace’s aim is to reduce absenteeism and presenteeism, increase movement and improve mental and physical health and wellbeing.
Thanks to Michael and Jake for sharing their insights and their brilliant App. Check it out!
